ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS (Special to THE SUN) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. The thirteenth annual meeting of the Waipa Racing Club was held last evening, Mr. F. Quin presiding over a representative attendance of members. The report and balance sheet, which have been published, were presented for discussion. The secretary, Mr. J. G. Wynyard, pointed out that the expenses of the race meeting were practically the same as for the previous year. The report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers resulted: Patrons, Messrs. D. S. Reid and F. F. Hockly, M.P.’s; president, Mr. F. Quin; vice-presidents, Messrs. A. S. Wallace, J. H. Elliot, and W. G. Park; auditor, Mr. G. O. Jourdain; judge, Mr. R. B. Lusk; clerk of course, Mr. J. R. Pollard; timekeeper, Mr. F. Seccombe; hon. surgeons, Drs. G. J. Hall, F. C. Blundell, and H. Hiskens; hon. veterinary surgeon, Mr. S. Barton: treasurer, Mr. I. P. O’Sullivan; representative to Country Clubs’ Breeders’ Association, Mr. H. Weal; representatives on Country Clubs’ Association. Messrs. F. Quin and J. G. Wynyard; course committee, Messrs. W. Alexander, A. U. Storey, IT. Weal, and J. P. O’SulliThe following were re-elected to the management committee: Messrs. S. A. Empson, A. Bond, W. Alexander, C. F. Storey, and J. P. O’Sullivan. It was stated that the committee intends to proceed with the building improvements according to the plan already adopted. It may not be possible to remove the grandstand to a more commanding site higher up the hill before the next race meeting, but as funds permit this and other alterations will be put in hand.
