The attempted assassination of the Prime Minister of Italy, Signor Mussolini, by the youth Anteo Amboni, at Bologna in 1926, is recalled by the military tribunal to-day sentencing Mammolo Amboni, Anteo’s father, and Virginia Amboni, the youth’s aunt, to 30 years’ imprisonment each. A brother, Tudovicco, was acquitted on the ground of insufficient evidence. Signor Mussolini was among the witnesses. Evidence was given which sought to show that Anteo was under the influence of his family.
