ATHLETICS IN DOMAIN
STEEPLECHASE DECIDED A steeplechase, sprint and two field events were held by the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club in the Domain on Saturday afternoon. There was some keen sport, the results being as follow: Two Miles Steeplechase:—Horan (2205) 1. Clarke (3 255) 2, McNeil (150 s) 3. Time, 13m 25 2-ss. 75 Yards Handicap:—First Heat: Kerrisk (4Jyds) 1, Turbull (6yds) 2, Horan (11yds) 3. Second Heat: Butler (I£yds) 1, Boon (2yds) 2, Clarke (12yds) 3. Final: Clarke 1, Horan 2, Butler 3. Time, 7 4-ss. Putting the Shot:—R. G. Kirkwood 1, N. Nilsen 2, O. Dunlop 3. Distance, 34ft 4 inches. Throwing the Discus: —Nankivell 1, Clarke 2, Kirkwood 3. Distance, 105 ft 11 inches.
