MAORI KILLED AT TAUPIRI UNHEEDED COMPANION’S WARNING f From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Sunday. To be killed instantly by a train was the fate of a Maori, Walter George, aged 60, at Taupiri last evening. George was walking along the railway line with a young girl last evening when she drew his attention to the fact that a goods train was approaching. Whether he understood her or not it is difficult to say, hut he look no notice of the warning and ,vas run down and killed.
