RIALTO, NEWMARKET
REVUE AND PICTURES The Punch Bowl Revue Company, a talented London troupe of singers and dancers, will appear at the Rialto Theatre. Newmarket, this evening. Frank IN for an, the comedian, is excellent fun on his own, and he will be ably supported by Miss Linda Dale, the dashing and charming soubrette. Miss Zenda Bankv will be seen in classical and acrobatic dancing, together with a well-trained ballet. With songs and duets by Linda Dale and Rex Mack, and comedy skits by the principals, a happy entertainment is promised. The main pictorial attraction this evening will be “Publicity Madness,” starring Edmund Lowe and Lois Moran. Lois Moran as the shy little Violet, who is transformed into a regular and sophisticated stenographer, proves she is a comedienne of no mean ability. And as for Edmund Lowe as the “smart aleck” soap salesman —he’s perfect. The story is based on an original tale by Anita Loos. It deals with the adventures, both business and romantic, of a soap salesman who promotes an antiquated business into a nourishing concern through his utterly ridiculous publiety schemes.
