ADVICE OF N.Z. LABOUR CABLE ABOUT NOLAN CASE Press Association WELLINGTON, To-day. The following: cable, relative to unemployment and the Dominic Nolan case, has been sent to the “Daily Herald,” London, by the National Executive of the New Zealand Labour Party: ’“ Daily Herald,* London.—Nolan's statement was contained in his own letter. Unemployment is prevailing: throughout the country, and is accentuated by the Government’s immigration policy, which has necessitated the opening of relief works by the Government and local authorities (see New Zealand “Hansard,” Imprest Supply debate, June 29, this year). Distress in all centres. Labour Party’s policy is to suspend immigration until the present unemployed are absorbed.— Nash, national secretary.”
