Kicked by Horse.—A carrier, John Cameron, of Hokitika, had his left leg broken above the ankle on Saturday result of a kick from his horse.
Wrecked Schooner’s Mast. The mainmast of the schooner Isabella de Frame, which was wrecked on the Hokianga Bar in July, came ashore at Chase’s Gorge yesterday. The sails and ropes were still attached to Che mast, which had drifted south nearlv 70 miles.
Motor Cyclist Injured.—When”“"a motor-cyclist, John Brame, of 7 Melford Street, Ponsonby, ran Into a stationary motor-car in SummerStreet, Ponsonby, on Saturday evening, he received concussion of the brain and head injuries, so that he had to be taken to hospital. His condition is not serious. „ C ° nsta ( . bl ® Hurt.— When Constable Snow, of the Central Police Station was cycling along the New North Road late on Friday evening, he collided with a motor-car at the intersection of St. Luke’s Road. His right knee and ankle were injured and he is confined to his lionie. . B ° y Hits Motor-Car. —While cycling m Parnell Road last evening-, a boy named McGregor, whose parents live f ‘ 47 \ George Street, Newmarket, ran into a stationary motor-car near the post office. He received slight concussmn and. after treatment by Hr. a. Kinder, was taken home.
