PRICES IN LONDON Under date September 7 the London office of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board cabled the following market report, last week’s prices being given in parentheses:— Butter New Zealand salted, 180 s to 184 s, up to 186 s (180 s to 186 s); unsalted, 186 s to 1 190 s (186 s to 190 s). Deliveries New Zealand this week, 750 tons; in store, 5,100 tons. Australian, finest salted, 166 s to 172 s (166 sto 1725); exceptionally, 1745; unsalted, 178 s to 182 s. Argentine, finest unsalted, 170 s to 174 s (170 s to 1745). Irish creamery, salted, 176 s (175 s to 1765); unsalted, ISOs (179 s to 180 s). Danish, spot, 190 s to 192 s (186 s to 188 s); c.i.f., 187 s (182 s). Dutch, unsalted, ISOs to 182 s (180 s to 1 182 s). Estonian, salted 172 sto 174 s (1705.t0 1745); unsalted, l’74s to 176 s (172 s to 1765). Latvian, 172 s to 1745. Siberian, 158 s to 160 s (158 s to 160 s). Ukrainian, 164 s to 166 s (164 s to 1665). Polish, salted, 152 s to 156 s (140 s to 150 s); unsalted, 160 s to 162 s (1625). Lithuanian, 158 s to 160 s (158 s to 1645). Market firmer. Retail prices un- ; changed. Estimated stocks all butters in , stores in Great Britain at September ; 7, 14,500 tons, compared with IS,OOO tons last year. Cheese New Zealand, white, 113 s to 114 s (Ills 1 to 113 s); coloured, 110 sto Ills, up to 112 s (109 sto Ills). Deliveries New Zealand this week, 13,000 crates; in store 49,500 crates. Canadian, white, Ills to 112 s, up to 114 s (110 s to 112 s); coloured, 110 s to Ills, up to 112 s. Australian, c.i.f., 100 s to 110 s (lOSs); white, Ills to 112 s (109 s); coloured, 108 s to 109 s (108 s to 110 s). Market firm. Retail prices unchanged. Estimated stocks of cheese at London, Liverpool and Bristol at September 1: ! New Zealand and Australian 63,000 [crates; last year, 72,000 crates. Canal chan, 171,500 boxes; 121,600 boxes. North American Prices The board has also received advice from its Canadian agents as follows: Butter: New York, 49 cents (2s 0?.d); Montreal, 40* cents (Is S l-8d).
