RACEHORSES PERISH
FIRE IN STABLES PRINCESS MARY’S DISTRESS (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (United Service) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, Thursday. Six valuable racehorses were burnt to death in a fire in the stables at Goldsborough Hall, Viscount Lascelles’ Yorkshire home. Lord Lascelles was away at the time, but his wife, Princess Mary, watched the vain efforts of employees to rescue the horses. She was greatly distressed at the fate of the animals.
