COMING EVENTS
DATES TO REMEMBER MONDAY— A luncheon will be given in the Y.M.C.A. Hall at 1 p.m., by the League of Nations Union in honour of the delegates returning from the Pan-Pacific conference. Mrs. Denton-Leech will be the speaker. The National Council of Women will meet in the Y.W.C.A. Hail at 8 p.m., when addresses will be given by the delegates from the Honolulu conference. A benefit dance will be given by the Southern Cross League in the Municipal Hall, Newmarket, in aid of the families of League men and disabled soldiers. TUESDAY— Camera circle of Lyceum Club will meet at 1.30 p.m., at St. Matthew’s Church to photograph interior. A “500” and bridge tournament will follow the official opening of the new schoolroom at the Ellerslie Convent at 8 p.m. WEDNESDAY— At 7.30 p.m. a meeting of the National Council of Women will be held in the Law Room of the University Hal!, to discuss the formation of an Open-air School League. THURSDAY— The monthly luncheon talk will be given at the Lyceum Club at which Bishop Anderson will deliver an address on “Porce* lain.” The Officers Club will hold an “At Home” in the Click Clack Cabaret at 8 p.m. The members of Auckland Municipal Officers Social Club will hold a dance in the Concert Chamber of the Town Hal! at 8 p.m. SATURDAY— The Athenian Club will bold their fortnightly dance in the Operatic Society’s Hall, Grafton Road.
