SECRET TILL TUESDAY

TRANSPORT DECISION

COUNCIL’S MIND MADE UP

After a further discussion last evening the City Council decided its attitude to the proposed transport board. The decision is being kept a close secret, though there is some suggestion that the attitude will be disclosed to the public after the council again meets the local body representatives next Tuesday. Last evening’s meeting of the council followed an unproductive conference with the local bodies last week, when the local bodies pronounced in iavour of a board with a wider area than that proposed in the Transport Commission’s report.
