MAYFIELD’S COWBOY BAND
AT MAJESTIC ON MONDAY A notable musical event will take place at the Majestic on Monday. This will be the opening performance of Fred Mayfield’s Cowboy Band, which has been engaged at one of the highest fees ever paid by any theatre, by the Majestic management. The band will arrive to-morrow by the Aorangi direct from America. This popular combination has just concluded a fourteen-months’ tour of the biggest theatres of Canada and the United States. Instruments never before heard in Auckland are included in the 37 instruments of Mayfield’s Cowboy Band. There will be included a sous;)phone, celeste, xylophone, steel guitars, banjos, mandolins, oboe, trumpets, trombones cornet, violins and piano. DIXIELAND CABARET Dancing will be enjoyed at the popular Dixieland Cabaret again this evening, when the usual Saturday gala carnival will be held. Music will be supplied by the Dixieland Famous Dance Band and with the perfect floor a happy evening is assured.
