Knocked Down by Motor-cyclist.—A broken left leg was received by Miss Mabel Innes, of Hamilton, yesterday, when she was knocked down at Alorrinsville by a motor-cycle ridden by Mr. T. Gobie. Aliss Innes was admitted to the Waikato Hospital. Unregistered Architect.—For unlawfully using the words “registered architect” in connection with his business, Edwin Royden Wells was fined £lO and costs at Wellington yesterday. Defendant had not paid his fees since 1919. —P.A. Death Under Anaesthetic.—An Inquest was held by Air. F. W. Platts, S.AI., to-day, concerning the death of Mrs. Henrietta Peek, of Alorrinsville, who died under an anaesthetic while an operation was being performed to her eyes. The coroner found that death was accidental and that every care had been taken. Tram-line Reopened.—The Christchurch Tramway Board has decided to reopen a portion of the line for the New Brighton Trotting Club’s meeting to-day and to later reopen the whole portion of the line. The through service to North Beach will be restored on October 1. The board has repeatedly made application for permission to run a bus service, but without success.
