RAN INTO OWN HORSE

MOTOR-CYCLIST’S BAD LUCK (From Our Own Correspondent.) THAMES, To-day. More than a little unlucky is George McCowat. He was riding a motorcycle at Turua when he ran into a horse and his machine was smashed. Had the animal been owned by a neighbour, McCowat would have had a very good claim for damages, but the horse happened to be his own. The police heard of the incident, and in the Police Court yesterday McCowat had to pay £1 fine and 12s costs for allowing his horse to wander in the road.
