GRAND
“THE BUSH CINDERELLA” “The Bush Cinderella,” the "New Zealand-made picture, starring Miss Dale Austen, will be shown this evening at the Grand Theatre. The story of “The Bush Cinderella” is a simple little one that might be that of any New Zealand family. Laughter and tears are cleverly intermixed. The prologue deal’s with the early part of the last century, andshows Miss Austen in flowered widebrimmed hat and flowing gown, with an almost “old world” charm about her. In the story proper she plays the part of a truly modern . young maiden. The picture is beautifully photographed, and among the many scenes are those taken on the beautiful Waitakere Ranges, at Titirangi. on the beautiful Waitemata, and in the city itself. Although the s£ory is primarily a romance, there* runs throughout a mystery that holds the audience absorbed until its final thread is unravelled.
