LINDSAY’S LATEST

The East Christchurch Swimming Club has among its members the holder of the mile amateur championship of England. Wow! David P. Lindsay is the champion. He won the title at Blackpool a few days before he left England for the Olympic Games. Probably, though, Lindsay is not very proud of this particular championship. He had only one opponent, W. P. G. Watt. Last year’s winner, P. Radmilovic, had not entered, and the famous J. G. Hatfield, who had entered, did not compete. When Lindsay finished his solitary opponent had covered little more than threequarters of the course.
