BANDITS MISS THE BUS

£606,000,000 TRANSFERRED NEW YORK, August 27. The bandits of New York failed to live up to their reputation to-day, when £600,000,000 passed along Broadway without a single shot being fired. Not a bandit was to be seen. Using 18 armoured cars through busy, but heavily guarded, streets, the Chase National Bank completed the transfer of £600,000,000 in cash and securities without the loss of a penny. The transfer was made from its old Quarters in Lower Broadway to the uew building at the corner of Pine and Nassau Streets.
