BROOKS. —On September 5, at her late residence. Mount Albert, Annie, beloved wife of the late Albert Edward Brooks; in her 74th year. COWIE. —On September 4, 1928, suddenly, at his residence. Park Avenue, Arthur Preston, beloved husband of Katherine E. Cowie; aged 53 years. HOPE.—Derrick J. Hope, beloved cousin of Evelyn Creagh. Auckland, late of Matawai, Gisborne; died at Rotorua, June; aged 25 years. HARDY. —On September 5, 1928, at his late residence, Mount Eden, Robert MeComesky Hardy, most dearly-loved husband of the late Anne J. Hardy. LEADBEATER. —Sam, beloved brother of Mrs. H. Healey, Eden Terrace, and Mrs. S. Smith, Morningside. Interred to-day. McEVOY.—On September 4. at his late residence, "Wood Street, Ponsonby, Joseph, beloved husband of Eleanor Frances McEvoy, late of Permanent Artillery; in his 67th year. Private interment. WISEMAN.—On September 5, at his daughter’s residence, Mrs. H. Smith, Finch Street, Morningside, George, beloved husband of the late Ann (Sarah) Wiseman; in his 80th year. Funeral leaves the above address at 2 p.m. to-morrow (Friday) for Waikumete.
