MT. ALBERT APPROVES MISS MELVILLE
OFFICIAL REFORM CANDIDATE Approval of the selection of Miss Ellen Melville as official Reform candidate for Roskill was expressed by a well-attended meeting at St. George’s Hall, Mount Albert, last evening. Mr P. Floyd presided. Sir James Gunson, Reform candidate for Auckland Suburbs, told the meeting that Miss Melville’s candidature had his hearty support. A resolution was passed, affirming the meeting’s loyalty to the Reform Party, and its confidence in the Prime Minister, Mr. Coates. A second resolution axpressed approval of the selection of Miss Melville as the official Reform candidate.
