RIALTO AND REGENT, EPSOM
“HAPPINESS AHEAD” "Happiness Ahead,’’ the latest picture by that inimitable little actress Colleen Moore, will be shown this evening at the Rialto, and Regent, Epsom, Theatres. "Happiness Ahead” is the story of a little country girl who marries a city card-sharper, believing him to be an qntirely honest young business man. The manner in which she discovers the truth, and the subsequent action of the principal ’characters, gives "Happiness Ahead” a plot which is unique in the extreme. Edmund Lowe plays the chief supporting 1 role. “Love and Learn.” an uproarious comedy of a girl who endeavoured to into as much trouble as possible f s the second feature. The beautiful actress, Esther Ralston, is in the leading role.
The opening scenes of “The Mating Call ” Thomas Meiglian’s latest picture for Paramount release were taken recently on Ellis Island, New York. Thro., hundred “extras” were transported to the island and they appear as immigrants in the picture. There are two leading women playing opposite Meighan Evelyn Brent and Renee Adoree, The author of the story is the famous novelist Rex Beach, and the direction “in the hands of James Cruze.
