TWO EXCELLENT PICTURES Pola Negri, one of the great en» tional actresses of the screen, seen in the role of a poor waitress in “The Secret Hour,” now showing at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera. Miss Negri is supported by Jest Hersholt, as Tony, the 60-year-oW orange grower, and Kenneth Thomson as Joe, his foreman and substitute lover. Troubles begin when the bashful bachelor sends the photograph o! his handsome young foreman to Amur the waitress. The midnight marriage of the two young lovers cannot long be concealed Tony, recovering from an accident plans for his expected wedding. Be is furious when matters are explains but realising that he has to share tfcblame finally gives his blessing of Annie and Joe.
A picturesque setting to the film shows Italian ranch-folk and tc? orange groves in which they work. Mary Pickford’s "My Best Girl” wiL also be shown.
