TOWN BOARD NOMINEES
APPROACHING ELECTIONS CANDIDATES FOR VACANT SEATS Nominations closed at noon to-day for the seven vacancies for the commissioners on each of the Town Boards of Manurewa and Howigk. The elections will take place on Wednesday, September 19. Nominations are: Manurewa: Messrs W. T. Cox, C. A. Fawcett, G. Gallaher, C. H. Lupton, G. A. Osborne, A. C. A. Sexton, W. J. Ferguson, W. R. Froft, C Hammond, and F. W. Whyte. The first six memtioned are present members, one old member having stood down. Howick: Messrs. P. L. Armitage, G. C. Barry, H. H. Bushell, W. Cooper, J. Crawford, J. H. Edwards, A. Gandy, J. A. Gandy, .J. A. Kyd, J. C Litten. L. V. Mclnness, D. Strong, K. F. Tovey and L. H. White, jun. Huntly: Mesffts. E. George, R. Sheeran, L. Kasoof, T. Hall, T. Cox, R. Roberts, W. Bailey, C. Starr and R. C. Mac Diarmid.
