GOLDEN WEDDING
OLD CAMBRIDGE RESIDENTS MR. AND MRS. CHAS. BOYCE (Special to THE SUNJ CAMBRIDGE, Wednesday. Two of the best-known residents in the Waikato, Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Boyce, of Wilson Street, Cambridge, celebrated their golden wedding yesterdajr. Mr. Boyce was born at Faversliam, in Kent, in 1851. When he was 23 he came to New Zealand by the ship Zealandia, landing at Auckland. He went to Cambridge, where he stayed for two years, before returning to Auckland. Shortly after he went to Napier, where, in 1878,. he married Miss Sarah Jane Beaumont, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Beaumont, of Auckland. In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Boyce returned to Cambridge, where they have lived ever since, Mr. Boyce retiring from business about 14 years ago. Mr. Boyce was a member of the original town board and of the borough council when Cambridge was constituted a borough. lie is also one of the oldest past masters of the Masonic Lodge in the district.
