BOUNTIES TO INDUSTRY
AUSTRALIA PAYS £789,187
(United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) Reed. 9.50 a.m. CANBERRA, To-day. The Minister of Trade and Customs announces that £789,157 was paid lapt year by the Federal Government in bounties for the support of Australian industries. Almost two-thirds was paid to winemakers, while iron and steel interests received £243,628.
