Mr. G. H. Abel arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning’. The Rev. A. McMillam went South last evening by the Limited. Mr. W. Winston© was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. G. Leahy, of Christchurch, is visiting Auckland on holiday. He is atajdng at the Royal Hotel. Mr. Henry Hayward, president of Fuller-Hay ward Theatres, Ltd., returned this morning from a business visit to Wellington. Mr. J. Mason, a member of the re-cently-disbanded Railway Board, arrived from 'Wellington by the Limited this morning. Sir Frederic Lang and the Hons. E. W. Alison and G. J. Garland, M.L.C.’s, left by train for Wellington last evening. Mr. I. F. Kronfeld, barrister and soHcHor, of Auckland, has joined in partnership with Mr. G. Klinkmueller, ol Apfa. Mr. U. O. H. Tripp, of Wellington, been elected a member of the of the New Zealand Golf Association. Major-General R. Young, C. 8., C.M.G., 0.5.0., G.O.C. New Zealand Forces, returned to Wellington last evening by i-he Limited. Commissioner Hay, head of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, returned tp Wellington last evening by train. He was accompanied by Mrs. Hay. Mr. ?. McNab, of Auckland, returned from South Africa by the Uliraaroa from Sydney yesterday. He left with the All Blacks team and saw afl the matches of the tour up to the second test.
Mr. J. A. Warnock, of Auckland, who suffered sever© injuries when he was knocked, down by a motor-truck at Niagara Falls, underwent an operation last Monday, according to cabled advice received in Auckland. The doctors' believe that it will assure his ultimate recovery. Messrs H. S. W. King and J. P. MePhail were reappointed representatives of th© Education Board on the Board of Managers of the Seddon Memorial Technical College to-day. Mr. G. Brownlee was reappointed the board’s representative at the Elam School of Art, and Mr. J. B. Sim was reappointed the representative at the Pukekohe Technical High School.
