Shoe Chic
Novel Parade of Springtime Modes
HOW MANY SHOES DOES A WOMAN NEED? Fashion parades of gowns and cloaks and hats are well-known to Aucklanders, but a mannequin display of footwear is a novel thing indeed. To-morrow afternoon, at three o’clock, S. Stone and Company will present a display in their Queen Street showrooms that is sure to attract a great deal of attention. Modes for every springtime occasion will be seen, with the correct gowns they should accorapanj'. Dainty shoes for languorous, sunshiny days, sturdier modes for sports wear, whimsical trifles of satin and kid and brocade for the later hours when the moon splashes silver cool across shining floors, and a hundred other charming things will all be seen. The eternal problem of “which shoes for which gown” should easily be determined after this novel display has been seen.
