Outside buyers operated freely at the fortnightly stock sale to-day_ when a large yarding, including- a considerable number of pigs, changed hands at very satisfactory prices. In the sheep classes hoggets were in keen demand, and reached as high at 38s lOd. Wcaner pigs made 15s 6d to ISs; porkers, 30s to £2; ewe hoggets, 31s 6d to 28s lOd; whether hoggets, 26s 4d to 295; m.s. hoggets. 24s to 33s lid; fat bullocks, £l4 2s 6d; fat cows, £lO Is; good forward cows, £7 10s; forward bullocks, £9; forward steers, £7 10s; 3-year-old steers, £8 15s; young cows, £4 Ss; empty cows, £2 17s 6d to £5 16s; rough steers, £5 ss; yearling to 18-month steers, £3 12s 6d to £4 19s; yearling to 18-months heifers, £2 3s 6d to £3 7s 6d; cows and calves, £4 10s; other cows, £2 10s to £6 10s.
