CLUB EVENTS The following further results of club competitions are announced:— Otahuhu Ladies, L.G.G. Medal. Mrs. Richards, Mo—3i, 71; Miss O. Whiteley] X 4 ’ 7 " ; ■ M:lss O’Uoughlen, 106 —31 ° grade; Miss M. Hill, 71—24 47 Papakura.— Semi-finals junior championship: Busing beat McLennan, 2 upRobbins beat Gilmore, 6 and 4. Pukekohe.—-rThe ladies’ junior championship of the Pukekohe Club has been won by Miss R. oJhns, who defeated Mgss Jamieson m the final, 5 and 4. In the semi-final for the men’s junior championship, Charlesworth defeated Pike, 6 and 5. Charlesworth will play Duncan in the final. 1 * Cambridge.—Senior championship, semifinal: A. W. Nicoll beat Tod, 7 and 5A J ford at 20th - Final: Boyce beat Nicoll, 2 and 1, after a good contest. Junior championship: Grumitt beat Lundon, 2 and 1. Whangarei. —Second round, senior championship: Thomson defeated Hotson,'3 up and 1; Donohue defeated Mullins, 2 up and 1; Buckley defeated J. C. Wilson, 2 up and 1. In the second round of the junior championship McLean defeated Brown, 6 up and 4; Thorne defeated Higginson, 3 up and *2. Waimarino. —L.G.U. silver medal: Mrs. Windle, 105—16, 89; bronze, Miss Legge, 107—24, 83. Taumarunui. —In the second round of the club championships Holford defeated Thomas, 7 and 6t Henry defeated Gilpin, S and 7; Grant defaulted to Hughes; Sandel defeated Richter, 3 and 2. In the semi-finals Sandel defeated Hughes, 2 up: Holford defeated Henry, 2 up. In the. junior division Ivan Smith defeated Laird at the 19th hole; King defeated Moore, 2 up. The junior final will be played next Saturday between King and Smith. The senior final between Holford and Sandel will be played on Saturday week. Morrinsvilfe. —The Morrinsville Golf Club’s aggregate medal competition was
concluded on Saturday, the winner being P. Petry, with net scores of 73, 74 and 71. Waihi.—The Waihi Golf Club’s men's championship finals were decided on Saturday, W. Tubman defeating G. Lorimer, 1 up in the junior final, and R. Cullen beat E. A. Wilson 7 up in the senior final. OPOTIKI EVENTS. OPOTIKI, To-day. In the ladies' medal handicap, played concurrently with the second qualifying round of the ladies’ championship at Opotiki Golf Links, the best cards were.— Miss Hout, DO—32, 58; Mrs. Birkmyer, 92 32, 60; Mrs. Carroll, 108—30, 72; Mrs. O'Sullivan, 109—32, 77; Mrs. Jessop, 10G—--28, 78. Ladies who qualified in the first championship round were as follow: Mrs. Forbes 192, Miss Short 203, Mrs. Birkmyer, 207, Mrs. Jessop and Mrs. O’Sullivan 201, Mrs. Carroll 222, Miss L. Wilson 229, Miss T. Holloway 233. The draw for the first round is: Mrs. Forbes plays Miss T. Holloway, Miss Short plays Miss L. Wilson,* Mrs. Birkmyer plays Mrs. Carroll, Mrs. jesson plays Mrs. O’Sullivan. Two of the four matches in the first round of the men’s championship have been played. Mahoney beat Bun Kail, - up one to play; Morris beat R. M. Todd, 5 and 4.
