MANY TWO-YEAR-OLDS TO PARADE AT MARTON DOZEN YOUNGSTERS ENTERED Often a club conducting a parade of two-year-olds between races fails to allow time for this usually slow affair, with the result that the succeeding events get behind. The Marton Jockey Club, however, is a notable exception to the rule, for it is holding a parade of the babies between the third and fourth events to-morrow, an hour separating these two races, leaving 15 minutes for the parade, which should be ample. For to-morrow’s affair a dozen youngsters have been entered, so that it should be quite an interesting item on the programme, more so as several of them claim distinguished pedigrees. The entrants comprise the following, with probably one or two others to be put in 4, late entries”: A. B. Williams' ch c Hunting Day (Hunting Song—Gay). Trained by J. H. Jefferd. E. L. Riddiford’s br g Imperial Guard (Valkyrian—Whitianga). Trained by Gage Williams. • lan Duncan’s b f Francolin (Paper Money—Philomela). Trained by H. Telford. lan Duncan’s b c Perseus (Tea Tray—Persis). Trained by H. Telford. B. H. Edkins’ ch f Roman Lake (Sarchedon —Lake Uru). Trained by H. Telford. B. H. Edkins’ b f Dresden China (Tea Tray—Refinement). Trained by H. Telford. Duncan Lourie’s b f Pont d’Or (Tonbridge—Zimanek). Trained by F. C. McKay. Duncan Lourie's b c Grand Jury (Grandcourt—Orozino). Trained by F. C. McKay. F. Ehrhorn’s b f (Quin Abbey—Rand mare). Trained by owner. H. Kershaw’s br c Sunny Mint (Catmint—Sunny Roe). Trained by WDonaldson. J. Bridgeman’s b f Courtlike (Grandcourt—Table Talk). Trained by D McCauley. J. Farmer’s br f Equitant (Paper Money—Equitas). Trained by owner. The majority of these will go on to Wanganui from Marton, and the showing made at the former centre will determine their owners whether to come North for the Avondale and Auckland meetings.
