ANOTHER MOTORISTS’ CAMP
; PROPOSAL AT TE AROHA J Representatives of the Te Aroha j Borough Council, the Te Aroha ChamI her of Commerce and the Te Aroha i Agency of the Auckland Automobile Association, met the touring manager of the A.A.A. recently in Te Aroha to inspect the site on which the Borough Council proposes to establish a motorists’ camping ground. The present site at Te Aroha is not suitable, and an area has been set aside close to the mountain with plenty of standing shelter and alongside a running mountain stream. The metalling of the Kaimai will induce a great many motorists to return through the Bay of Plenty through Matamata and Te Aroha before travelling across the Plains to Auckland, and the Te Aroha people are very anxious that this ground should he established in plenty of time for the coming summer. The Borough Council is moving in the matter, and as the report of the touring manager was satisfactory, it is hoped to have electric light and conveniences erected during the next few months.
