RITZ DANCE CLUB
The Ritz Club held a bright dance in the Foresters’ Hall at Devonport last evening. Music was supplied by the Ritz Revellers, and Miss Kathleen O’Connor, of the Embassy dance studio, judged the finals of the foxtrot and Yale Blues. Among the guests were: Airs. BIRTHDAY PARTY A very happy- party of about 25 children were invited to the home of Mrs. Charles Bartlett. Wentworth Avenue. Papatoetoe, on Saturday* afternoon, to celebrate the birthday of her nephew. Graham Bartlett. A gay time was spent in games and competitions, and a couple of musical items were greatly enjoyed by the young folk. A delightful party tea was served in the dining * room, which had been prettily decorated with masses of streamers, from which were suspended brightly-coloured balloons. 'Hi® I centre of attraction was the beautiful I birthday cake which held pride of place on the table. Quaint paper hats i added a touch of gaiety.
