PLAZA

REVUE AND COLLEEN MOORE The clever and charming actress j Colleen Moore is seen in her latest dramatic triumph, 'Happiness Ahead, now showing at the Plaza Theatre. It is a different Colleen Moore wno appears in this production—a Colleen Moore whose humorous scenes are all the more mirth-provoking because of the contrasting flavour of pathos with which her work is also seasoned. She proves herself as adept in moments of emotional drama as in comedy, and lends such realism to her characterisation that "Happiness Ahead” is one of the most believable screen stories to be seen in months. The story tells of "Debe” Stewart who, to evade arrest flees to a small town and whiles away his time flirting with one of the school girls named Mary Randell (Colleen Moore). The second part of the programme is contributed by the Punch Howl Revue Company who provide each evening a feast of songs and dances, plentifully seasoned with laughter. Frank Moran is a very clever humorist and Linda Dale a bright and vivacious soubrette whose personality helps the show along. Classical and acrobatic dancing is the speciality of Zenda Benky l nd the other members of the company combine in the little sketches and songs. Finally the ballet puts in some hard work.
