MAN WITH A GUN
FINED £3 ON BIRTHDAY (From. Our Oven Correspondent.) HANGAREI, Monday. Frank J. A. Duke celebrated liis 21st birthday to-day by appearing at the Whangarei Magistrate’s Court, charged with having an unlicensed revolver in his possession. Accused was already on probation, and when asked where he got the gun, which was merely a shortened .22 rifle* he said it was given him by. some one he didn’t know. The Magistrate, Mr. J. H. Luxford, Convicted and fined him £3 and costs’, the gun being confiscated.
