CHEAPER BUTTER
RETAIL PRICE REDUCED A reduction of 1d a lb. in the local price of butter became effective this morning. The decrease is in accord with the usual spring adjustment, due largely to competition among factories to get their butter on to the market. Two increases of Id a lb. have taken place in the market over the past three months. The new retail prices are: First grade, Is 9d; second grade. Is Bd.
