DEMONSTRATION CONCERTS The annual festival of the Auckland Competitions Society was brought to a close on Saturday when two demonstration concerts were given in the Embassy Theatre by prize-winning competitors. Varied programmes were presented, and. from them it was possible to judge how successful the festival had been from the artistic point of view. At the evening concert choral numbers were given by the Beresford Street Congregational Church Choir and the Bayfield School Choir. Other items were given by Miss Winifred Sharp and Mr. Jim Sharp, Miss Phyllis Mobberley and Master John Cameron. Miss Isabelle Brook was in her native dance, and the dance duo of Misses Edna Tullett and Stella Vernon was very effective. Perfectly schooled. Miss Cecil Hall’s combined ballet gave a splendid performance.
