FEILDING STOCK SALE
Press Association. FEILDING, Friday. At the Feilding stock sale there were good yardings of fat and store sheep. Prices for fat sheep remained at a high level. Prime woolly wethers brought t 43S QQ 9d; ho + °p ts . 26s 6d to 36s 6d; ewes, to 395; wethers. 27s to 39s- stores; tZV S I . od , to 37s 6d -' wethers, 25s 6d to 31s 3d; mixed sex hoggets. 2Ss 9d; ewe ! I nl? BretS ’ 31 + s , ld to 35s ewes, with 100 per cent, lambs, 41s. Dairy cattle were in good demand. Springing heifers made £4 10s 6d to £lO 7s 6d; springing cows, £5 2s 6d to £ll 15s; second calvers, £6 17s fid to £9- cows in milk, £6 10s to £10; store cows, £2 5s to £3 ss. A heavy yarding of fat cattle included extra prime lots. At first the sale dragged and several pens were passed but the sale then improved, and excellent prices wefe given. One line of extra prime heifers made £ls 10s. Other prices were; Four and five-year bullocks, £9 to £ll 7s: choice bullocks, £l4 15s;; Shorthorn bull. £9 10s; heifers, £8 to £l4 ss; Polled Angus heifers, £ll 10s to £l4; cows, £ll 5s to £l4 15s; extra prime cows. £l6.
