WELLINGTON, Friday. THE hope that Mount Eden Gaol would soon be removed from the City of Auckland was expressed by Mr. T. M. Wilford in the House of Representatives tonight. He recalled how, as Minister of Justice, he initiated a crusade to close the old Terrace Gaol, starting by giving part of the site to the Technical College so that the extension of the gaol would be impossible.
