“BIG FOUR” DEPART
BRITISH INDUSTRIALISTS MISSION TO AUSTRALIA British Official Wireless. RUGBY, Thursday. The four members of the Economic Commission appointed by the British Government, at the request of the Australian Government, to discuss questions relating to the development and trade of Australia, left London to-day for Marseilles, where they will join the steamship Mooltan. The chairman of the mission, Sir Arthur Duckham, is closely associated with the coal, iron, and steel trades. He was at one time director-general of aircraft production. The other members of the mission are Sir Hugo Hirst, chairman and managing director of the General Electric Company; Sir Ernest Clark, director and financial adviser of the London underground railways; and Mr. Doughl Orme Malcolm, a director of the British South Africa Company. The members expect to return to England in about seven months.
