KEEN FILM ASPIRANT HURRIES BY AIRPLANE TO FULFIL CONTRACT
Railway trains were not nearly fast enough for Eva von Herne when she ivas offered a contract by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. The Viennese girl discovered by Norma Shearer arrived in Hollywood via airplane a short time ago. Eva crossed the Atlantic, spent a clay or so in New Yorlc and then “just couldn’t wait ” to get to Hollywood. She caught a fast plane westward, the sooner to start worJz at the M-G-M studios. Eva’s name was Von Pientzner until passengers on the Atlantic liner chose her a new name. Her father is an Austrian colonel, and Miss Shearer saw her picture on the society page of a Vienna journal .
