“Marigold,” a sentimental play, which critics agree is a success because of its charm, has passed its 600th performance in London.

Lily Elsie, the popular London stage star, is following in Sybil Thorndike’s footsteps, and is taking her own company to South Africa to play in “The High Roacl” and “The Trial of Mary Dugan.”

Dr. Harold Dearden, author of “Interference” and “Two White Anns,” has written another play with the title of “Rubicon.” “Interference” will be played ill Australia and New Zealand, with Charles Hallard in the leading role.

Jean Forbes-Robertson, who was in New Zealand with her mother, Gertrude Elliott (Lady Forbes-Robert-son), will again play Peter Pan at Christmas in London. Mary Casson, Sybil Thorndike’s daughter, will return from South Africa to act Wendy.

Dale Collins, the Melbourne author and playwright, has written a play, “Passengers,” which will be produced in the English provinces for three weeks in October', and will then be staged in London. The scene of the play is on a mail steamer between England and Australia. Harry Cohen will be the producer.
