ARMSTRONG—ISAAC

A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church, Opotiki, when Gladys Florence, eldest daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. Isaac, of Manchester, England, and now of Woodlands, Opotiki, was married to John Brooke, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Armstrong, of “Tiromoana,” Opotiki. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr. F. Isaac, who gave her away. She was charmingly dressed in a frock of coffee-coloured crepe de chine, with the skirt trimmed with tiny picot-edged frills. Her hat, gloves and shoes favoured the same shade. Mr. H. Armstrong, brother of the bridegroom, attended as best man. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Smiers. A reception was held in the diningroom of the Masonic Hotel. Later Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong left for Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling outfit was a blue repp jumper suit, worn with, a brown velour coat and hat.
