AEOLIAN ORCHESTRA

TUESDAY’S CONCERT Variety is the keynote of the programme to be presented by the Aeolian Orchestra at its concert at the Concert Chamber on Tuesday evening. Under the direction of Mr. W. Edgar Webb, the orchestra has shown considerable improvement this season, and for Tuesday’s concert lengthy preparation has been made. The programme includes R. A. Horne’s march “B.B.”; Schubert’s “Rosamunde”; Prelude, No. 2, “Merchant of Venice’’ suits (Rosse); selection from German’s “Merrie England,” “Two Hindu Pictures,” by Hansen and Lotter; Luigini’s “Egyptian Ballet,” “A Celtic Idyll,” by Shaun Hart; “The Shamrock” (Myddleton); and “Suite Algerienne,” by Saint-Saens. The soloists will be Miss Christina Ormiston, who will sing “One Eine Hay” (Puccini) and “The Stars Are Falling” (E. Hell Acqua), and Mr. Norman Tucker, whose numbers will be “Muleteer of Malagar” (Trotere) and "Nirvana” (Stephen Adams). WEST END “A DOG OF THE REGIMENT” Two star attractions compose the excellent programme to be shown at the West End Theatre this evening. The first of these will be the latest picture made by the famous dog-actor, Rin-Tin-Tin, entitled “A Hog of the Regiment.” In this picture Rin-Tin-Tin is a Red Cross dog in a German hospital in France, and gallantly rescues an American aviator. The story of the picture is said to be that of Rin-Tin-Tin’s own life. The second feature will be “Hell Bent For Heaven,” an enjoyable picture starring Patsy Ruth Miller. DIXIELAND CABARET The Hixieland Cabaret will be the scene of another happy dance this evening when the usual Saturday gala carnival night will be held. Hancing will be enjoyed from 8 p.m. to 12 p.m. to music from the popular and capable Hixieland Famous Dance Band.
