NORTHLAND PROGRAMME
\ LTHOUGH the authorities have no t yet seen fit to sanction the Northland Trotting Club’s schedule for the fixture on Labour Day, the suggested card is one that will appeal to owners and trainers throughout the province. The club is to be congratulated on its progressive spirit and especially for its desire to assist owners in qualifying for the central fixtures by holding its meeting early in the season. The card submitted for approval includes: Mile and a-half (3.52) and two- / mile (4.58) for sq uare-gaiters, pacers being catered for as follows: 10 furlongs (3.4 and 2.54), 12 furlongs (3.43), two miles cup (4.42), mile harness (2.21), and mile saddle (2.24).
