Good Landing Place BiG PLANE’S VISIT SEARCH FOR CLEAR AREA A landing l place 1,000 yards by 1,000 | varda would be required fox- the j Southern Cross and Major L. M. Isitt, j the New Zealand Air Force, is asking landowners within 30 or 40 miles of Auckland to communicate with him it they have such an area. An extensive search of country within 25 miles of the city has not solved the problem of getting a suitable area for the big plane. The land must be flat and level and clear of obstructions. An obstacle such H g a fence could be temporarily removed. Major Isitt would undertake to organise the labour required in moving and replacing it. Anyone who posesses such an area and would permit its use is requested to communicate by letter with Major Isitt. New Zealand Air Force base, Auckland.
