CITY RELIEF LOAN MAY CARRY SUBSIDY
THOUGH the amount of the city loan for tho relief of unemployment is £20,000, there is a probability that the total sum available for the fund will be £56,000. A Government £ for £ subsidy is being applied for, to be computed not only on the amount of the loan, but on the sum of £B,OOO which is at present in credit in the Waiatarua trust account. Under the scheme, work will be put in hand at the Lake Waiatarua reserve at Rerrruera and the sports area at Western Springs.
