TE KUITI SHOW
ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL MEETING There was a good attendance at the annual meeting of the King Country Central A. and F. Association held at Te Kuiti on Wednesday evening. The association, according to the annual report, during the past year had just held its own. While the annual summer show had been a marked success, it was felt that at future fixtures sheep entries could easily be more numerous as also the pig classes. Horse entries had been exceptionally good and had created keen competition. Improvements to the value of £.50 had been made to the showground. Mr. C. Harrison was thanked for supervising this work. Satisfactory arrangements had been made with the Te Kuiti Racing Club for the use of its course for show purposes. The balance sheet .and report were adopted. Officers were elected as follows: Patron. Mr. J. C. Rolleston, M.P.; president, Mr. W. Gadsby; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. J. Tappin and D. Ross; committee, Messrs. Nealon, Douglas, Somerville, Hunt, Larsen, Cleaver, Tappin, Fetch, Sutherland, Mcß.eth, Harrison, Pattillo, Voyce and O. French; secretary, Mr. A. W. Whyte; auditor, Mr. H. Gould. Fifteen new members were elected. A smoke concert was held after the business -was concluded and a number of toasts were honoured.
