Sir George Fowlds left for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. E. J. Harvey arrived from the South this morning by the Limited. Sir Donald McGavin returned to Wellington last evening by the Limited. Sir Apirana Ngata, M.P., arrived from Hamilton this iturning by tho Limited. Dr. D. E. Hansen, director of the Christchurch Technical College, is visiting Auckland. Mr. P. A. Seymour, a university lecturer, is returning to England t*y the Niagara, via Canada. Mr. P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, left for Wellington last evening on the Limited. The Hon. J. A. Young, Minister of Health, returned to Wellington last evening by the LimitedMr. Guy Johnstone, of Wellington, returned to New Zealand to-day by the Niagara from Sydney. Mr. R. E. McDougall, of Christchurch, returned from a holiday visit to Australia by the Niagara this morning. Mr. P. A. West, a civil engineer, of ( England, is a through passenger on the Niagara. is accompanied by Mrs. West. Mr. G. R. Ritchie, of the National Mortgage and Agency Co., Ltd., Dunedin, returned from a visit to Australia by the Niagara this morning. Mr. Norton Hammond was on Saturday morning admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court by Mr. Justice Reed, on the motion of Mr. R. J. Coates. Colonel J. Lyons, director of the live-stock division of the Agricultural Department, arrived from Wellington this morning. He is staying at the Star Hotel. Mr. A. W. Hall, official Reform candidate for the Hauraki seat, returned on Saturday from the Dominion conference of Reform delegates in Wellington. Commander Eric Rhodes, of Christchurch, arrived in Auckland by the Limited this morning. He is staying at the Grand Hotel. Colonel Dunlop Young, of Smithfield, London, is a through passenger by the Niagara. He is returning to England after a tour of New Zealand and Australia. Mr. J. Rennie, of Christchurch, returned from a three months’ holiday visit to Australia by the Niagara this morning. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter. Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M., presided over the Police Court this morning owing to the continued indisposition of Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M.. took the Civil Court. The Rev. Dr. D.
