TUDOR, REMUERA

"THE ESCAPE” The picture which heads the programme now being shown at the Tudor Theatre, Remuera, is “Circus Rookies,” a film whicht contains both comedy and thrills, starring Karl Dane and George K. Arthur. In this film the elongated Dane and the small Arthur act against a circus background, Dane as an odd-job man around the “big top,” who essays his hand at lion-taming, and Arthur as a ; loquacious, quick-witted press agent. They run foul of each other when they both lose their hearts to a dainty and pretty trapeze artist. “The Escape,” which will also be shown, is a dramatic story of New York night life. Virginia Valli and William Russell are in the leading roles. “Buster,” the famous Hal Roach dog, is the sole support of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, in their next as yet untitled production. Emmet J. Flynn is directing this comedy at the Hal Roach studios
