DANISH EXPEDITION TO VISIT AUCKLAND
RESEARCH SHIP DANA The Danish research ship Dana, under Dr. J. Schmidt, director of the physiological section of the Carlsberg Laboratory, will visit Auckland before the end of this year. This information was contained in a letter received by the council of the Auckland Museum and Institute from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research yesterday, saying that notice to this effect had been received from the Foreign Secretary, Sir Austen Chamberlain. The Foreign Secretary’s letter asked the department to give the expedition every possible assistance. The council decided that the matter should be left in the hands of a committee, which J was also watching the Interests of the New Zealand Institute Scientific Congress, which is to be held in Auck- | land in January next year.
