Mr. J. W. Court left for the South by the Limited last evening. Mr. E. J. Darby, of Arapuni, arrived in Auckland this morning. Mr. J. McLean, of Wellington, who has been visiting Auckland,' will return South this evening. Mr. J. Henrys, handicapper, returned to Auckland to-day from the South. The Hon. Vernon Reed, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. J. K. Lowe, district engineer of railways, returned to Auckland to-day after a visit to the Waikato. Mr. P. J. O’Regan, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington by the Limited last evening. Dr. Buckley Turkington, who has been visiting Wellington, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited. Mr. J. Dow, engineer new works, 'Auckland railways, returned from Wellington this morning by the Limited. Colonel Knott, of the Salvation Army, and Mrs. Knott, were among the arrivals from Wellington this morning by the Limited. The Governor of New South Wales, Sir Dudley de Chair, sailed by the Niagara last evening for Vancouver, says a Sydney cable. Mr. P. D. N. Verschaffelt, Public Service Commissioner, who has been staying at the Star Hotel, returned to Wellington last evening by train. The Hon. C. T. Carrington, M.L.C., and the Hon. E. W. Alison, M.L.C., were among the arrivals from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. S. H. Craig, general manager for Paramount Films in New Zealand, and Mr. G. E. Henderson, divisional manager in Australia, arrived from Wellington by the Limited this morning. Mr. J. F. Montague leaves by the Limited this evening for Ashburton, where lie will act as judge in elocution at the annual competitions festival. Mr. Will Hutchins, of Wanganui, will act as judge of the music sections. The Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, will arrive from Wellington to-morrow morning. In the afternoon he will open the Salvation Army’s Congress Hall in Grey’s Avenue. He will probably return to Wellington on Sunday evening. Mr. A. Beban, chairman of the Greymouth Boxing Association, was. at yesterday afternoon's Dominion conference, appointed president of the New Zealand Boxing Association. Mr. E. A. Craig, of Auckland, ex-president, and Mr. C. P. Agar, of Christchurch, were elected vice-presidents The Hon. J. A. Young. Minister of Health, is in Hamilton to-day to attend the annual reunion of the Waikato Early Settlers Association. Pie will visit Tokanui Mental Hospital this afternoon and will also meet a deputation of the Hamilton High School Board of Governors.
